Okay I have a Cortex 1950 Serial # 1431551

I am unable to update the unit using the new "Superchips Xpress Update". I have uninstalled, reinstalled, manually removed my usb drivers for the unit, and manually updated them by accessing the driver installer in the "drivers" folder (this step is the only one that yielded any gains... more consistent connection attempts to the device).

I have repeated these steps on (3) different computers. I have Windows 7 on all of the PC's. Compatibility modes do no difference.

The system "Analyzes" for a good half minute, while the Cortex 1950 does it's usual steps in turning on, and finally just as the Cortex displays "USB Port Open" it reboots itself and the update software displays "Exception was Encountered - Please Contact Customer Care"

We have seen this with some of our customers in the last few days.

We are working on finding out what is causing this and will have a fix for it soon.

At this poing we do not have a work around for these customers.

Well here's hoping that it can be resolved, I am anxious to program my truck and see what the differences will be.

Keep me updated and let me know if there are any ideas you would like me to try. Or if anyone has self-resolved this issue in the meantime.

I would go ahead and try the tuner on the vehicle, without updating.

Did you try a different computer on a different network?

It won't even talk to my 2011 f150 5.0L Fx4. It hasn't been updated in well over a year. It will talk to older trucks, but that's not my interest. I've tried it on 3 different computers, 2 different ISP's. Always the same result.

If it won't be resolved, should I just purchase a different programmer?

You could call into one of the techs (if you can not wait) and we can have you send the tuner into us for the update in the mean time.

Well there is the factor that it's probably more sensible to wait for a fix to come down the pipe, thanks for all you patience and attention given to my matter. I'll check back often to see if anything changes, and update you if it works in the meantime.

I am getting the same error. This tuner has also not been updated in well over a year. I am using a 2950 on a Pontiac G8. I also have tried to update it on several different computers, no joy. When I plug it into the car it says its doing the initial scan and just hangs in that mode until i unplug it. I am really looking forward to getting a tune installed in my car I hope you guys are actively working on a solution. Thanks for all your help Ron!

Any updates for our problem? I have a T-81 error when trying to tune the car. So I cannot upload a tune without the update.
