Hi,

I have a 2000 Suburban 1500 4x4 w/5.3 motor. I'm fairly happy with the tuner but I was wondering why my shift pressure feels like it goes back to stock after the truck has been sitting for a while? I have all the sift pressures at 20 psi.

If I drive normal after I first start the truck the trans feels like it shifts like stock but when I do a wot from a 1-2 shift then the truck then the trans will shift hard on normal driving until I shut it down?

I noticed this after I did an update on the tuner and then reinstalled the 87 octane tune when I wanted to make changes to te shift points.

Welcome to Superchip's Flashpaq Forums!!!

The fluid is cold when you first start the truck and it will get progressively harder as the fluid gets warmer. Have you had a service to the trans latley?
What kind of miles does the truck have?
Ron

The truck has 210,000 km. It makes no difference if the truck is cold or hot. It will only start shifting hard after I get on it and then it will stay like that until I turn off the vehicle for more than 20 minutes. I could drive around for 30 mins without getting on it and the truck will feel like it's shifting at stock pressure. I have even dropped the pressure down to 16 psi with no change.

As I said before, the trans was not doing this prior to me doing an update to the tuner. It wasn't until after when I retuned the truck with the updates that it started acting like this. The trans also feels like it slides into the next gear instead of banging into the next gear on wot. It would bang into gear before the update.

Then I would send us a service ticket.
