JK Idle up question

I was under the impression that the idle up feature could be saved and it would stay at the higher setting even when the programmer was disconnected.
Am I mistaken or doing something wrong? When I exit the idle up section the idle returns to normal.

No, this is the way that it is intended.

The feature is there to idle up, while using a winch, or air compressor on the trail.
