Im having some troubles with my western motorsports high velocity intake with the 95mm mass air flow intake. when i purchased the superchip my 07 mustang gt seemed to run perfect, then after i bought and installed the CAI it seems like my car is bogging down when i get on the throttle and seems like the throttle response has gotten slower. Also my check engine light came on after a few starts and shutdowns of my car. my dad thinks its might be the air to fuel ratio or something. is there a way to check that on the superchip, or a way to check nething that might be going wrong with the S.C.? im not that familiar with these new cars yet so any advice would be GREAT! thanks alot!!!!

Welcome to Superchip's Forum!!

Was that a MAF upgrade also? Or just the tubing itself?

Have you ever downloaded a CAI tune for the programmer?

What is the part number of the CAI, and the serial number.

Ron

hey ron, thanks for the welcome.
And it was just the tubing that we put on. and i have looked at the superchip updates and i seen k&n CAI upgrades and more name braned CAI, but i did not see one for my Western Motorsports high velocity intake. As far as the serial number i emailed W.M.S. about were the # was located and they said they do not have serial numbers on there CAI. which kinda surprised me, but thats what they said.

What is the serial number of the tuner?

I won't need a serial from the CAI, but just the part number.

Ron

If you look under the BAR code on the back of the tuner, there is a 7 digit serial number, if I can get that I can refer to your internet updates to help you.

I do have the file for the WMS intake. I can add to internet update but it will take about a week before it is done. I looked at the data compared to other intakes that are currently supported. The JLT is really close to it. I recommended downloading the JLT tune until I get this one posted for you. This will keep you from running lean and damaging your car.

I have the data ready but we just went through a change with our database and are still working on the cai portion. Hopefully I can have something ready for you this week.

There was a hold up through marketing to get this posted to the website. I apologize for the wait. You will need to update your tuner twice, then go to the car and it should give you the option of the custom intake file. We are setting up a special write to your tuner to enable the intake tune because it is still not available on the website.
