I'm sure Ron or Mike will chime in but here's what I did: Download the Superchips PC application and check for available tuner file updates. These will include the data acquisition module and the files for specific CAIs like the K & N. Plug your Flashpaq unit into your PC via the USB port and download first the data acquisition files (can't remember if this comes bundled with an update to the regular 91-O tune) and then the K & N file. I was told that you can use data-ac even if you install the K & N file.
When you plug the unit into your car, you restore the stock tune then upload the K & N file. Correct me if I'm wrong here, Mike/Ron.
If you want a 91-Octane tune you should run the K & N file if you have that CAI or your car might ping. It's a great tune. My GT flies with it installed and revs much more freely.

The files do not come pre loaded on the tuner. You have to first read the vehicle and then hook it up to your pc. It will then give you the options for the different cold air kit files.

Go to read vehicle and it should say the vehicle has already been read. This will put the tuner in the correct state for you to download the files from flashpaq.com

I just installed the K&N tune on my car and I don't think it did anything. Am I missing something?

Did anything compared to what? Had you been running the stock tune? Or the Flashpaq 1825 not optimised for the K & N CAI?

If you run the regular flashpaq tune but have a cold air intake, the car will ping under load. The K$N is not as bad as some of the others. The custom files correct the mass air flow transfer function so the vehicle gets the correct air fuel. Your car will be lean without it.

Well I dynoed my car and it was not running lean before the tune, so that's what I'm trying to figure out. Definitely still learning about this stuff.

Stock tune with cold air will not be lean. Regular Superchips tune with cold air will be lean.
