I just noticed you put out an update for my 1825 but I've never gotten it through my thick skull whether all updates should be automatically uploaded to the car or whether the update might be for another variation of my car, like the 5.2 litre engine in the Shelby.

How can I tell whether the latest update is meant for my car or not?

Also, could I please confirm that the installation of the latest files plus data acquisition will not de-tume the K & N CAI custom tune which is currently installed?

I'm going to hold off uploading the file until I can be cartain of this stuff.

Uploading the Data features, will not affect the CAI tune.

I'm having a little difficulty communicating my question here. I've called your tech support guy twice now and both his response and yours have been helpful but you guys should understand that, to customers who are more familiar with computers than auto mechanics, an "update" means just that, something you must install to make a machine run better. This is why certain aspects of your presentation are counter-intuitive to me.

In the Flashpaq world installing an upgrade is not necessarily advisable, yet sometimes it is, and I would still appreciate a definitive response to the following questions/assumptions:

- Installing the latest update will provide no performance upgrade for my 2007 Mustang V8/manual transmission. It was issued merely to cover new Ford manufacturers codes.

- Having downloaded the latest update to my 1825, I can use the data ac. feature without uploading the tune to my car.

- If I did upload the latest tune to my car, it would invalidate the K & N custom file I have installed.

Please, gents, not everyone here is a gearhead and your customer communication could be just a little more forthcoming. I'm running firmware that appears to have been updated yet I cannot determine whether these updates will enhance my tune or merely invalidate the K & N custom files that I need to run with my CAI. I'd really appreciate an answer to these questions.
