We are ready for you to update the tuner and tune.
Make sure that you have DB143, this can be checked in the tuner after updating.

Well,
Did the update to the Cortex. It downloaded and updated to a newer firmware. I Do not have "DB143" on the Cortex. It is DB 138. I belive this is what was on it before. However, tried to do the tune to my car and it came up with the error code G-81...again!
This time it did not set any DTCs. It seemed to run a little longer; gather info on my car.
I went back to my computer at that point and removed and reinstalled the update program. No difference.
After almost 2 months of this, I'm about at the end of my rope! Now I have to wait yet another weekend for an answer, again, to this...
I would like to add that hopefully this is part one of the solution which takes care of the tuner setting DTCs(?) and that the actual tuning program will be set up for download on Monday. Just trying to remain positive. However, if nothing is done on Monday, I'll have to return the Cortex and get my money back. This shouldn't take as long as it has and I haven't seen anyone else with the same car having any problems.
So Ron, I'm looking for either a program to download on Monday that works or your directions on how to return the Cortex and get my money back. That's the bottom line. Sorry...

Ok, we have resetup the one shot for the DB 143. If you are not getting this version, check your firewall settings and other securities on the PC. Update and let me know how it goes. Ron

Ron, I ran another update, turning off my firewall as I did this last time and now I have the DB 143 setting. I will let you know how it uploads to my car when I get a chance to do so which should be later today. Thanks!

Ron, Well after all this time, I was finally able to load a tune. The operation went smoothly with no errors. I assume my 30 day guarantee is now in effect? I will be testing to see if I actually want to keep the Cortex now. Thanks to you and SC for handling this issue and I'm sorry if I was a pita. Afterall, I'm just a customer. Also, I'm going to buy a drop-in K&N filter, will this effect any of the custom tunes? Again, thanks for the hard work on this issue...

Yes, the 30 day trial period will start from the time you installed the tuning.
Drop in filters should be fine with the tuning.
