Ron, I called tech support about my E-5B issue and was told that the minimum voltage at the diagnostic port to prevent an error was 12.9 Volts. That seems high to me.
Yes, the actual voltage of a fully charged battery/alternator output is 13.8 volts but I don't seem to recall a steady state voltage with just the ignition on of much over 12.5 volts usually.

Can you confirm what the minimum voltage at the diagnostic port is to prevent a voltage error during programming.

By the way, I have the Cortex 1950.

I always say 12.5 myself.

But what it boils down to is how long can the battery hold the charge.

It being as chilly as it has been here in the South, Battery voltage has seen to drop without a full charge.

Driving the truck a little and making sure that all consuming power items off. Aftermarket amp and electrical additions disconnected.

All else fails throw a battery charger on trickle.
