Ron
Is it necessary to return Ram to stock settings before doing an Internet update?
or can I update tuner and just re-tune Ram.

I presently have the Ram Quick tuned to 87 octane program w/no options. The way I drive, I would like to lower the 3rd gear (automatic 5 speed) shift point to a lower MPH or RPM, as it seems to high to me? Is this possible with this tuner and how would I do it?

Welcome to Superchip's Forum!!!!

Either or, on the update. You will not loose your tuning if you don't return it back to stock prior to a update.

I would recommend to try the MXS tune, the shifts are closer to stock. The other tunes have the raised parameters.

Ron

Thanks Ron

I was really pleased with the the Performance increase just setting the truck to 87 octane mode. My next move was to try the MXS mode. My primary driving is about 35-40 mph through residential streets, so the MXS mode should be the best choice. I use the truck mostly in the winter here in NE but also tow a camper Spring, Summer and Fall. . The Tow mode will help alot with the northern mountains we have to climb.

I sense a little learning curve with the programmer, just like any other electronic device!
It would be nice if there was a Ladder Schematic specific to vehicle aplication as to what options in each mode are available and how to use them.

Thanks again Ron
