I have a 2004 GMC 2500HD with a 6.0 motor and I would like to get more torque when I'm towing. I tow a 24' trailer, loaded it 7600lbs. I have an older 2714 model programer and would like to know what settings will give me more torque. I'm new to this and need help.

Just picking the tow tune, with 91 or better octane in the fuel tank.

Shift points, and firmness set at SC (superchips) preset.

Will this add what % more torque? What if I run lower octane?

What about everyday drivng, what will get me the best fuel economy? Like with most truck I only pull about 25% of the time and the rest of the time I need the best fuel economy in town I can get.

No the tow tune will add about 30 more ftlbs of torque, this requires a minimum of 91 or better octane to make it safe.
We advanced the timing in the tuning to make the power, this will require at least 91 octane.

If you want to run the lower octane, you can only run the "stock with options" tune. This will not add any more power than the stock tuning would.
