I purchased a Cortex and have been trying to install the 87 tune but after the downloading on to the pcm my truck starts to knock and run very rough. I have the latest updates installed and follow all the necessary instructions properly. I have tried this 3 times now with same result. I also kept getting a P060 dtc. Any ideas before I RMA????

Your DTC code is incomplete. P0603? P0605?
What is the tuners serial number?
What mods do you have on the truck? CAI? Catback?
What is the tuners serial number?

tuners serial # 1475241
the dtc code was p060c
and when i load the tunes the truck goes into limp mode

Are you sure that the code ended with a C?

Looks like you have been talking to Jason, I have sent the info back to the calibrator to review.
We rented a truck and had it flashed to your calibration and had 0 problems tuning it here.

Do you think my catback exhaust is causing this problem? I also have a high-flow reusable filter installed.

I am the Ford calibrator here at Superchips. I had tested this before, but I got another truck in here Friday to double check. I still have the truck here today and have been driving it all weekend on our tuning. I took the truck and flashed your exact files into it. I then took our tuner and read vehicle, then tuned it to 87 octane file. It runs and drives perfect. The P060C code you are getting is a failsafe code. This usually happens when a checksum or something is wrong, possibly a corrupt file. But, if the database or files were corrupt, I would be able to see the same thing here on this truck. From here, the best bet will be to get the tuner in here to make sure something is not wrong with the tuner and go from there. I will have someone from CSR contact you to start the RA process. Sorry this has happened and thanks for your patience. We are trying everything we can to try and figure out why this is happening on your truck only.

I just got one for Xmas and that is the EXACT thing that is happening to my truck .
