2003 F150 4.6 No towing power

My F150 has a 4.6, 285/75R16, 5- speed manual, 3.55 stock gears.
I cant use 5th gear when pulling my 12' enclosed trailer. I find myself dwn shifting to third going uphill. I Have learned that changing the 3.55 to 4.10 will do wonders. I am also interested in a programmer only i know zilch about them. Any suggestions as to how i can pull more Hp/Torque aside from 4.10 gears? i am not interested in swapping out the 4.6 for a 5.4.

The estimated weight of the trailer is Approx 3500lbs 500-1000lbs more when i have builiding materials loaded

You can tow up to 6000lbs on the perf mode = 15hp and 17ftlbs of torque at the wheels

Over 6000lbs you would use the tow tune, 6hp and 12ftlbs
