Gettin ready to install 63series k&n sytem this weekend. Has the cai tune come out for the 2011 5.0 s, if not what tune would be best if any untill the tune is released?

We do not have any CAI tunes for the 5.0L motors.

You may try the 87 tune with 91 or better octane in the tank. This should be the safest.
Detonation (pinging) is my concern.

Running 87 tune with 91 but it has a kind of loud popping sound at low rpm in a pull coming from the breather im going to remove the tunning and then see what i get.

I would remove the CAI and see how it runs afterwards. Did the computer on the truck have any diagnostic codes? Check engine light?

We are looking into the CAI tunes for the 5.0L F150's now.

No its not throwing codes. It really runs fine, the popping noise i mentioned is there with or without tunnig. But its not really popping its more throaghty i guess. Not used to cai on a v8 never run one before.
