Ron,recieving the same codes and check engine light that I got several weeks ago. Uninstalled programmer for about 200 miles and reinstalled . Did fine for a day or two and as a I was passing a car at about 60 mph the trans would not shift into 5th and check engine light is back on. I was on the performance setting. Need to know why it is only happening with the programmer, so seems to me its not a trans issue but something with the programmer. I am scheduled for service at the dealership on11-4 so I need something to go on before I take the truck in.

Codes: P0735 Gear five ratio error
P0700 Trans ctrl sys error

Check with your dealer about the tcm (transmission control module) recall. GM sent out a recall to dealers telling them to reprogram the tcm to remedy the p0700 codes. I was getting these codes too until I took my truck in had it reprogrammed and have had no problems since. By the way I drive an 07 duramax lbz. Hope this helps

Thanks, taking it in service this week will ask about it. My only concern is I do'nt get these codes unless the programmer is installed. Maybe it is only a module.

Let us know how that goes.

I always thought that the computer on the trans had to have some learning time of the extra power our tunes give to get the engine and trans power in sinc.

Taking it in tomorrow. Only concern I have is the fact that the tuner has been installed for 5months already before problem started. Once tuner is removed problem goes away. Keep you informed once I find out what dealer has to say.
