Is there a fix for the Allison transmission dropping out between shifts? When I accelerate full throttle in Performance mode (2007 LBZ 6.6 Duramax) the truck briefly stalls between shifts. Is this the way it is supposed to operate?

Make sure that you are using the latest update to the tuner. We had addressed this a few months ago.

If you tuner is up to date and your truck has been tuned with the newest.
Give one of our guys a call and we will look into the issue.

Would the drop-out between shift be considered as de-fueling in order to safe the transmission?

Yes it is defueling which is normal and what you want. Same deal when your cruising down the freeway and floor it and it kinda stalls for a few seconds before taking off. If you ease up when it shifts it doesnt do it as bad and if you roll into the throttle at crusing speeds it doesnt do it as bad when it drops a gear also.
