I just updated my superchips and I believe right now it has four option: 1. HP (Octane 91) 2. Towing (Octane 91) 3. Economy (Octane 87) 4. Mileage XS
Just wondering, what is the fourth option is?

from the top post by the admin, you are saying that you shouldn't tow anything when running on the 87 octane setting?

What is the different with Economy (Octane 87) setting? Which one will be more fuel efficient for combined (city and hwy)? Thanks

Ok, i am a little confused to what each setting is for....mainly confused between #3 and #4.........
1. HP (Octane 91) - Highest performance gain ?....but dont tow?
2. Towing (Octane 91) - better power and torque than stock, but reccomened for towing? Also, for what weight of tow ?
3. Economy (Octane 87) - Slight Performance tune, but not as aggressive as tune #1 ?
4. Mileage XS - Tune for increasing mpg ?.......more power and torque than stock, but btter mpg's or what?

I did not realize the Flashpaq offered the Mileage XS option? Sweet... I was hoping to have something such as this for the 2000 mile trip home from picking up my new ride from Az to Michigan and save some gas money..

I have a 2865 for my H3 Alpha with the 5.3L. Somebody mentioned to me that the specs on your sited said you could not change the tire size with this program so I took a look and notice several items that don't seem to match my Flashpaq.
I would have to verify but if I recall correctly I can access and change the below items that according to the specs the 2865 can not do.
Tire Size Adjust Fan Gear Size CAI (not positive on this one)
I have made adjustments to the tire size to make sure I could access it but did not save the settings. Is this something that I shouldn't be able to access at all or would it just not save the settings? I do run larger tires but just never adjusted for them. Not sure if it makes a difference or not and I have done a software upgrade since then but my truck was used to develop the tune and at the time it was the only one out there which may explain it.
Overall I love the tuner and have recommended them to a lot of people but one of the features people really want is the tire size adjustment and I want to make sure I am telling them features that really do exist.

Welcome to Superchip's Forum!!
If you have the function and it allows you to adjust it, use it. By all means.
I bet that motor runs good in that size vehicle. Ron

Thanks for the quick response Ron, another reason to like Superchips Should I avoid downloading any updates? Would hate to have an update wipe out a feature that I have not but shouldn't. I got a call from my dealer when the first Alpha showed up. They were not prepped for the lot yet but they let me take one for a drive and the first thing I noticed was how much power if felt like GM left on the table with their tune. Running the high octane tune with the Flashpaq changed all that and the truck pretty much screams. It's almost too much power sometimes simply because it's big and being all time 4 wheel drive the front really wants to pull you around a bit. I love the look on people's faces when I need to get around them in their sports car or little rice rocket, they can believe a Hummer can keep up let alone pull away from them so fast

No, need to avoid an update. Sometimes features get added and I am not aware of it until a customer tells me. Ron

I have a question, I have only tried the quick tune 93 performance, but have looked at the options in the advanced tuning. Will there be any difference in the 91 and 93 performance tunes? What are the differences? Also, the torque management only allows me to select stock or superchips, no user adjustability, why is this? I have a 2010 RAM 4.7L. I am having some issues with my electric fan coming on at all times that customer support is trying to help me with, but does anyone know what the stock on temperatures are for the 3 speeds of the fan? Thanks!
