Cortex tuner

Hello, I have a Cortex tuner that i used for my 2004 GMC Sierra, (4.8) and i recently traded it in for a 2012 Sierra (5.3 with Active fuel management). Will this tuner work with my new truck and i am guessing i will likely need to update it? any help would be great!
