Most memorable event/race and why: Round 9 of the LOORRS series. I had a blowout on the right rear landing from a jump on the front staright. It happened so fast that i flew off the track and almost crashed but managed to keep it undercontrol and get the truck back to the hot pits where the pit crew changed the tire and I renetered the race in last place. After several caution flags I had managed to pass everyone but the actual race leader. I caught him on the last lap and came within a half a car length of passing him too, If I had done that I would have been the first racer in shortcourse history to unlap himself in a 14 lap race.

Name: Rick Jenkins
Series you Compete in: I am a Vendor specialist and event leader providing guidance for the drivers as well as leading large groups through trails in the Southwest. I have been helping Superchips break into the market since 2009 and have two Jeeps that I have provided for testing. I am the co-driver for Four Corners 4x4. We participate in the Dirt Riot Mountain series and Southwest Series. We also participate at The King of the Hammers Race. My current positions are Vice President and Land Use Officer for the Cliff Hangers Four Wheel Drive Club.
Occupation: I am an Instrumentation and Control Solution Specialist for Northwest Instruments and Controls (New Mexico and Southern Colorado Territory).
Family: Married with two kids.
Daily Driver: I drive a 2003 Dodge Ram (5.9L Cummins diesel) and if the wife is not driving her 2007 Jeep Wrangler JK… I do my best to steal it from her (doesn’t happen very often). She programs her Jeep with a TrailDash, leads trails in it, and installs parts on it. We are a team.
Superchips product used: The products that I am currently running in my vehicles include TrailDash, Flashpaq, and Linq.
Hobbies: I enjoy video production and four wheeling. Most of my hobbies have dwindled due to my focus on racing and continuing to lead recreational four wheeling groups.
Most memorable event/race and why: So far my most memorable race was the Dirt Riot National Rampage race in Bridgeport, TX. Jason and I went out thinking the Jeep could have a few failure points. We pushed the Jeep very hard that day. Coincidentally it was the first race that Jason decided that we were just going to hit all the jumps and go all out. We didn’t only win the National race, we came in ahead of the class above us, and out-lapped three of the unlimited cars that finished.
Favorite track or venue: My favorite track is in Cortez Colorado. The terrain is versatile and challenging. We went through a pillow block bearing, a transmission mount, and a transmission case last time we were there!

Most memorable event/race and why: On track event at IRP, rode in at the time a new Ford GT into turn one at 130mph !!
